Eda Rae is from the remote community of North Spirit Lake. Growing up, she attended residential school from ages 4 to 16 years old. She was fortunate to have her parents take her out into the bush and teach her about the traditional ways of life. She was taught how to clean and prepare ducks, fish, and other wild game. Her grandfather would take her and her family out berry picking too. Today, she continues to share the knowledge and traditions that have shaped her, making sure they live on for future generations.
